IMPORTANT NOTICE TO JAMB CANDIDATES
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has clarified some issues bothering most candidates as regards this year’s admission procedures. The board made the following announcements on their Twitter handle @JAMBHQ
The following update was posted this morning by the exam body
*All candidates that have made changes (change of course/institution) and it has not been reflected should kindly be patient. JAMB is aware of this situation and is currently acting on it.
*Institutions will still admit using established criteria of merit and others.
*The 120 cut off mark doesn’t mean an automatic ticket for admission.
*Direct Entry Registration closes on Friday, 15th September 2017.
*JAMB introduces Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) to streamline admission exercise and give candidates the right to track admission.
*Candidates with higher marks will be considered first.
*All institutions have been directed to ensure that candidates awaiting the release of NECO results are considered for their various Post-UTME.
*A comprehensive list would be sent to all institutions soon.
*Kindly upload your O level results again. For those awaiting results in NECO indicate where required but ensure to upload once its released.
*Candidates should not panic as they would certainly sit for the Post UTME in the institutions they have made changes to.
Many candidates have attempted to change their institutions (Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges) and courses, but after they did that, they proceeded to the school’s Post-UTME website only to find out that they cannot register for the Post-UTME. These candidates are to have patient for JAMB to send their school of choice their data. Keep on checking this page for more update from JAMB
